Angel picked a winner here if you prefer the intimacy of a guest house. Here are his comments:"Talked to Mona Santiago (305) 294-0715...same lady that ran the place when I was there last, years and years ago. She has 9 rooms left starting at $155/night...ouch! If more rooms are needed she can contact the "house next door", Avalon, and book extra rooms for us.

It includes breakfast and a bottle of wine per room/per day. She said there's an area outside where we can cook/listen to music: and even dance! The rooms can be blocked and then each person call directly to book his/her room. I did not block any rooms yet. Some of the rooms have extra beds/couches to accommodate more people."

Here's the deal: Rooms are reasonably spacious with balconies and either two doubles or two queens for $184 per night. The hotel (really a motel) has two beautiful pools, a poolside tiki bar, bicycle/motor scooter rental booth. I can tell you that the pool area is somewhat compact but very nice. The management is ok with members of our group who are NOT staying here joining those who are at the pool - as long as you buy a drink. I'll try to work out an "open bar" for our group if most of us stay here. This is the place that will be my choice.

PS - They also have a "branch" across the street with its own private beach. They also have two victorian mansions across the street which are luxurious guest houses. The beaches on KW are a disappointment after you've experienced beaches in PR. Stick to the pool.
